At what age do you think is too late to get braces?

I am 22 and are planning on getting braces in the next couple of months. My parents couldn't afford it when i was growing up so now that i am on my own i want to get my teeth fix..or is it too late?

It's never too late to improve the way you look dramatically. Also, straight teeth can greatly improve your health. If you don't want to be seen with braces, ask your orthodontist about Invisalign. It's a clear plastic mouthguard-type thing that's barely visible, but it takes longer than regular braces to straighten teeth. If he doesn't work with that, there are brackets out there that are white and not as easily noticed as metal ones.

no i dont think it is too late i have seen a lot of adults that have braces.
There's no age. Plenty of adults have braces.
It's not too late- my mom just got her braces off!
there is never a too late for orthodontics!!! braces can help people have a beautiful smile, and make it easier to keep teeth clean, and give a better functioning bite so the teeth so not become damaged or worn because they ar mis alighned! in the office i workde we had many patients over 60 getting praces on. go for it, just make sure you talk to lots of people and go for agood doctor with a good reputation, the best price is not always the best way to go!
you are never too old to get nice teeth. if you don't want the wire ones you can nice clear plastic ones that don't even look like braces or you can get Porcelain Veneer's but those are quite expensive
No! You can never be too late for braces. Having braces will change your life for the better, especially after they come off and you have gorgeous teeth! If you are uncomfortable with metal braces, discuss with your orthodontist Invisalign, or getting ceramic braces. I have ceramic braces, and they are practically invisible from a distance and barely noticeable up close. They are not too much more expensive than metal braces, and may be worth it. Good luck :)
Oh you are FINE! My freakin' oral surgeon had them and he was at least 35, so you are fine, do it girl!!
According to the American Association of Orthodontics, one out of five orthodontic patients is an adult, and the number of adult patients is up almost 60 percent from ten years ago.

Also, ask you're orthodontist if he or she offers lingual braces. Those are the kind of braces that go behind the teeth. They are also referred to as invisible braces, because no one can see them unless they actually look inside you're mouth. Although, they may take longer to straighten you're teeth compared to traditional braces.

I think this site explains it pretty well if you are interested: http://www.lingualtechnik.de/en/4patient...

You're never too old to feel good about you're appearance.

I hope I helped.
There is no age. I know someone that has braces in your age.
Just like you, my parents were unable to afford this when I was younger. I'm getting braces next week, and by the time they come off, I'll be having my 50th birthday.

Good luck!
